Slot Car Magic

Fun and excitement was had by all at the first race of the Porsche 911 GT3R Series.

The race was held at Rotogrip Raceway in South San Francisco. Ten racers were on hand to battle it out to the finals. During the round robin racing there was everything from cars being pushed across the finish line by hand, to fans being struck by cars flying off the raceway. The finals pitted Lenard against Phil. Lenard came out on top putting in 33 laps to Phil's 32 laps. Phil saw his chance go down the drain when his car crashed and become stuck under the overpass where no one could get to it. Reportedly flames and smoke could be seen for miles.

When asked for his reaction to the wreck Phil, who escaped with minor injuries and his pride in tacked, was quoted as saying "That's racing"!

The next race will be on July 7th at Wicked Garden Speedway in Hayward.
